With Thanksgiving right around the corner, we wanted to reflect on some of the things we are thankful for here at AgendaPal. First and foremost, we are thankful for our wonderful customers! Without them, AgendaPal wouldn’t exist. In addition to our customers, we are thankful for the company and product that we’ve built.
AgendaPal was founded with the customer in mind. We set out to structure our organization in a way that would make it very easy for our customers to do business with us. Therefore, we decided that we didn’t want sales reps as most feedback from our potential customers was that sales reps could be pushy and aggressive. Instead, we focused all of our investment on product staff (product managers and engineers) and customer care staff. We believe that the product should speak for itself. Therefore, who better to “sell” it than our product and customer care people…the people building the product and taking care of our customers. In order to be able to do this, we had to be very transparent with our pricing and sales process. This made it easy on our potential customers as they know exactly what the solution will cost and can test drive it for free for 30 days before making a decision. We are truly thankful that we get to do what we love (build a great product and serve our customers) and avoid what we don’t like to do (being nagging salespeople).
We are all thankful for our ability to move quickly. Our Product Team is structured under a highly agile methodology. This, paired with the fact that our solution lives in the cloud, allows us to be highly responsive to our customers product requests. If a customer needs a new feature, we can build, test, and release it into production in as little as a week. An added benefit of this is that all of our customers benefit from the product requests of each customer.
AgendaPal is thankful for the ability to create content and send out communication that helps out staff in municipalities, regardless if they are a customer of ours or not. We strive to deliver quality resources that enable everyone from the clerk to the head of IT to improve their agenda process and document management strategies.
Lastly, we’re thankful that we are privately owned by our founders. The burdens of being a public company or owned by a private equity firm, such as doing anything to hit your profit targets, don’t exist at AgendaPal. We all have the freedom to do what is best for the client and build great product.
At this time of year, it is great to reflect on what you are thankful for. We definitely have a lot to be thankful for at AgendaPal. We wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving!
